Preface

Who reads the preface? Certainly, guys don’t read prefaces. Okay, so I can tell you the truth. This book is not about training puppies; it’s about training your man. But don’t tell him that; he will only get upset. He doesn’t yet realize that he wants training. He will probably also find the analogy of being equated to a puppy insulting. Oh, that sensitive pride is so cute. Anyway, it’s okay. He doesn’t need to know. Even though the analogy is spot on, he is not ready to hear it. Let him keep his pride intact. It won’t hurt to have this little secret. You can train him without him being conscious of the fact that he is being trained. So, when you are reading the rest of this book and you see references to ‘your dog’ or ‘your puppy,’ know that we are really talking about him. It’s our secret. He won’t know. Certainly, he won’t be reading this preface.
